PSNI Officer's Harassment Case To Be Contested

Constable Mark Blair

A harassment case involving a police constable was mentioned at Coleraine Magistrates Court this morning.

Constable Mark Blair, whose address is listed on the charge sheet as c/o PSNI Brooklyn, faces a single harassment charge, which he denies.

The court heard this morning that six witnesses will be required to give evidence for an upcoming contest.

The court also heard that the case involves "a large number of papers."

During a previous hearing last month, defence counsel Thomas McKeever had sought anonymity for his client, noting both parties involved were "public servants." However, District Judge Peter King declined to impose reporting restrictions, expressing confidence in local media's awareness of security concerns regarding police officers.

The matter has been scheduled to fix a date on 28th February 2025.
