Police To Provide Update On Sudden Death Near Bushmills

Police are expected to provide an update later today following a sudden death off the Causeway Road area of Bushmills.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Saturday afternoon, with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) confirming it received a 999 call shortly before 5pm.

In a statement yesterday, a spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said:

"Police and other emergency service colleagues attended a report of a sudden death in the Causeway Road area of Bushmills earlier today, Saturday 22nd February."

The NI Ambulance Service confirmed that paramedics were dispatched after receiving a call at 4:57pm.

No further details have been released, and the circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear.

 A PSNI spokesperson said "An update will follow in due course."
