Demolition & Redevelopment: 36 Social Housing Dwellings Proposed In Coleraine
Mar 11, 2025
Plans have been submitted to Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council for the demolition of buildings on site and the erection of 36 social housing dwellings across two blocks, retention of a pedestrian connection, creation of a new 'pocket park', and ancillary works at Nos. 6-12 New Market Street and the land between Nos. 12 and 26 New Market Street, Coleraine.
The proposal includes retaining a pedestrian connection, creating a new 'pocket park', and undertaking associated works.
A planning statement says the proposed public open space area will create a new ‘pocket park’ that will enhance the existing pedestrian connection. Future residents and the wider public will use this space. A number of private amenity spaces are proposed for ground-floor apartments.
The applicant is MJ McBride Construction Ltd.
