Coleraine Crash Victim To Be Laid to Rest On Tuesday

A woman who died following a two-vehicle collision near Coleraine is to be laid to rest on Tuesday.

Annemarie (Annie) McWilliams, 35, from Kilrea, was fatally injured in the crash on Windyhill Road on Thursday afternoon. The incident, which occurred at around 3:10pm, involved a Seat Ibiza and a Toyota Hilux.

Ms McWilliams, who worked for the Northern Health Trust, has been remembered as "the most kind lady anyone could have met". Tributes have poured in from friends, colleagues, and the local community, describing her as a caring and compassionate person who dedicated her life to helping others.

Her wake will take place at the home of her uncle and aunt, Kevin and Jacqui McWilliams, in Kilrea from Sunday at midday, with family time observed from 10pm to 10am.

Funeral arrangements have been confirmed, with Requiem Mass to be held at St Mary’s Church, Drumagarner, on Tuesday at 11am, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Ms McWilliams was the beloved daughter of Philip (Phelim) McWilliams and the late Martina, and a cherished niece and cousin. Her family has requested family flowers only, with donations in lieu to SANDS, a charity supporting bereaved families.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
