Causeway Coast Women To Host Public Meeting Over Safety Concerns
Feb 19, 2025
Causeway Coast Women, the local publication that first highlighted recent safety concerns, is to host a public meeting in response to growing apprehension among women in the Causeway Coast and Glens area.
The meeting, organised following calls from local residents, will be held on Thursday, 27 February at 7:00pm at the West Bann Development Centre, Killowen Court, Coleraine. The event aims to address a spate of incidents that have left many feeling increasingly vulnerable.
Local elected representatives and police officials are expected to attend the session. They will discuss current safety measures, offer expert guidance and outline strategies to bolster public security in the region.
“Recent events have understandably left many women feeling vulnerable,” said Gillian Anderson, Editor of Causeway Coast Women. “This meeting offers an essential platform for open dialogue, empowering community voices and exploring practical solutions to improve safety.”
Women wishing to participate are encouraged to register their interest via the Causeway Coast Women website at https://www.causewaycoastwomen.com/public-meeting.
