Bank of Ireland Plans To Install Defibrillator At Coleraine Branch

community Feb 24, 2025

In a move that underscores its commitment to public safety, Bank of Ireland has announced plans to install an external defibrillator unit at its Coleraine premises.

The installation, part of a wider roll-out across the bank’s branches, is designed to provide immediate access to life-saving equipment in the event of a cardiac emergency.

If approved, the yellow, weather-resistant unit will be discreetly mounted on the building’s side, preserving the historic front at 1-2 The Diamond.

The planning application, supported by detailed design and access statements, highlights the minimal intervention required for installation.

Planners are expected to make a decision in the coming weeks.
